Books, Music festivals, mothers & daughters, & summer in the 60s

We had a ball celebrating my new friend Eliza Knight’s newest historical novel, Lost in the Summer of ’69, at Page 158 Books last night! It was such a treat to finally meet Eliza in person, to talk about her wonderful book, and to get to be back in an indie bookstore I love.

Wake Forest was green, gorgeous, and HOT (we’re in a heat wave in North Carolina like everyone else, it seems). We had the best audience: y’all cannot know how special it is to have people come out to listen to and meet you when you’re an author. It’s gold!

I asked Eliza questions in a game show style I learned from my friend and fellow author Meagan Church—and it was awesome. Book people are the best people.

Signed copies of both our books are at Page 158 Books in Wake Forest, NC, so be sure to get your copies now before they sell out! And read them at the beach or the lake or the pool—anywhere you can cool off.

P.S. I highly recommend bringing a buddy with you on any bookish road trip! My friend Charisma took the best pictures!
