flying high after page 158 Books in wake forest, NC

I am still flying high from a glorious night sharing The Miniaturist’s Assistant with readers in Wake Forest, North Carolina, at Page 158 Books.

From beginning to end, the night was magic. I’m so appreciative of indie booksellers like Page 158 owner and bookseller Sue Lucey, of her fabulous and thoughtful questions—several sent from my beloved friend, the author Heather Bell Adams—for the members of the Beyond the Pages book club, and to the beautiful faces of friends in the crowd. Both my publisher and my cover designer from Regal House Publishing came! I tell you what: that’s some kind of service. All of it made the night so special.

It’s sheer joy when readers show up and share of themselves so open-heartedly. I’m the luckiest of authors to get to do this.

I ended the night with indie bookstore swag, a delicious calzone thanks to a local rec, and a rainbow.

  • Many photos thanks to the irrepressible (and irreplaceable) Bubba Wilson!
