my night in asheville with elizabeth kostova

From start to finish, the Inaugural Great Smokies Writing Program Keynote Author Lecture was a dream.

My eternal thanks to the University of North Carolina-Asheville, the Great Smokies Writing Program (especially to director Luke Hankins and Administrative Assistant Liam Danzis), and the generous and luminous Elizabeth Kostova, who was even lovelier than I’d remembered. (Sometimes, y’all, the artists you admire exceed your expectations, and this is a gift.)

My biggest thanks to the crowd who came out and listened to me share THE MINIATURIST’S ASSISTANT: I appreciate, more than I can ever say, all your questions, greetings, stories, and connections. Thank you for showing up for the Asheville community and for the arts!

And thank you to everyone on this book tour who has so generously embraced THE MINIATURIST’S ASSISTANT and me. May summer bring you an endless treasure trove of good books!

  • Next stop on book tour: Thursday, July 17th from 5:00 - 6:30 PM at the Pat Conroy Literary Center in Beaufort, South Carolina — The Pat Conroy Literary Center presents an Evening with Katherine Scott Crawford. For more info, click here.
