a bookish road trip

Tomorrow I head out on the longest leg of my book tour, from the mountains of North Carolina to the Georgia piedmont, down to the Lowcountry of South Carolina and Georgia (almost to the Florida line!), then to the Charlotte area of North Carolina. Whew. I get a little tired just typing that.

But I’m also excited! Meeting readers and booksellers is the best part of this job. It makes so much of the sometimes years-long process of writing a novel (and being alone for much of it) more than worth it.

I sure hope you’ll come see me on tour. Some events are ticketed (which can be purchased ahead of time or at the door, depending on the event), and some free and open to the public. These events (and books) are perfect ideas for Mother’s Day… if you’re like me, and still need to do something sweet for mom.
