Oh, Milton, Georgia—Atlanta, really!—what a gift you have in Poe & Company Bookstore. I had the BEST time with a perfect audience and my dear friend Kimberly Brock (author of The Fabled Earth). We drank wine, had delicious snacks, talked stories and history, peeling back the layers of the past, and so much more.

Bookish people are my favorite people. They ask the most insightful, smartest, and coolest questions—which then open up great conversations, and magically, all kinds of revelations. I am deeply grateful to owner and founder Kate Seng and storytime and events coordinator Stacie King for making the evening so special.

And I even got to stay at Larkwood, Kimberly Brock’s warm and tree-canopied home in Milton. Good stuff, y’all. Such good stuff.
