City Lights Bookstore in Sylva, NC w/ Jennifer McGaha
City Lights Bookstore and Sylva, North Carolina, I will make y’all a stop on book tour any day of the week! City Lights is one of Sylva’s brightest gems: I first spent time there over a decade ago with my debut historical novel, Keowee Valley—and the warm welcome, the awesome selection, the literary ambassadors at work there are just as magic as they’ve ever been. I tell you what: that regional room has some mighty good juju. Thanks to everyone at the store, especially events coordinator Matt Sawyer, for welcoming me back with The Miniaturist’s Assistant.
I had a ball with my friend, the author Jennifer McGaha, talking The Miniaturist’s Assistant, miniature portraits, Charleston, history, writing, The Joy Document, and more. Readers in the audience asked the most insightful questions. And I had a delicious early supper afterwards with friends at the fabulous Mad Batter Kitchen—all these spots within walking distance of each other.
Y’all were a joy. Thank you!
Next stop: Milton, Georgia, on Wednesday, May 21st at 5:30 PM with Georgia Author of the Year Kimberly Brock, at Poe & Company Bookstore! Get your tickets now—we’re gonna have a ball.
