City Lights Bookstore and Sylva, North Carolina, I will make y’all a stop on book tour any day of the week! City Lights is one of Sylva’s brightest gems: I first spent time there over a decade ago with my debut historical novel, Keowee Valley—and the warm welcome, the awesome selection, the literary ambassadors at work there are just as magic as they’ve ever been. I tell you what: that regional room has some mighty good juju. Thanks to everyone at the store, especially events coordinator Matt Sawyer, for welcoming me back with The Miniaturist’s Assistant.
