Litchfield Books luncheon in pawleys island, sc

Here I go again, reporting from the road! The Literary Luncheon hosted by Litchfield Books at the fabulous Caffe Piccolo in Pawleys Island, South Carolina was a resounding success! Bellisimo! Brava!

Not only was the food delicious, the company was fabulous. I had such fun eating lunch with guests, getting to see family friends (who totally surprised me), and meeting Olivia and Wendy, Litchfield Books’s lovely and intrepid booksellers, in real life.

There were lots of questions at this event about miniature portraits in particular, which I totally geeked out about. So much fun!

I also popped into The Archive, a super-cool new dark academic bookshop in Mount Pleasant, SC, on my way down the coast (and picked up some treats for my book-loving daughters).
